How does the ePartExpert Catalog Advanced Keyword Search find parts?

Here is a summary of how the Smart Search feature works:  

1.) First it searches directly via AConneX for matches in your business system (ex: cases where user does enter a part #). If matches are found, results are displayed and all subsequent steps are cancelled. 

2.) If nothing is found in step 1, it searches for matching keywords entered for custom cataloged parts. If matches are found, results are displayed and all subsequent steps are cancelled. 

3.) If nothing is found in step 2, it searches Activant catalog categories and displays any matches.
